Face Data Summary
SongMint may process images that contain facial information when you use AI features such as AI Video. Face data collection, use, disclosure, sharing, storage, and retention are explained in Section 5 (Face Data and User Content), with additional details in Section 8 (Data Sharing and Third Parties), Section 9 (Data Retention and Deletion), and Section 11 (Your Rights and Choices).
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how SongMint ("SongMint," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects information in connection with the SongMint iOS app and related services (collectively, the "Service").
This policy is intended to align with Apple App Store privacy requirements, including App Store Review Guidelines Section 5.1.
2. Service Summary
- AI music generation (song description mode and lyrics mode)
- AI cover generation from user-provided source links and selected voice profiles
- AI video generation from user-selected photos and audio clips
- Reverse tool for local microphone recording and reverse playback
- Library for generated results, playback, save-to-Photos, and sharing
- Apple in-app subscriptions and one-time credit purchases
3. Information We Collect

4. No Third-Party AI Transmission Statement
SongMint does not send your personal data directly from the iOS app to any third-party AI provider. AI-related requests from the app are sent to SongMint-controlled backend endpoints. Your uploaded photos, images containing faces, text prompts, and other generation inputs are not transmitted by the app to external AI providers directly.
If we materially change this architecture in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly.
5. Face Data and User Content
5.1 User Content
When you use AI features, the photos you upload may contain faces. This user content is processed only to provide the feature you requested.
5.2 Face Data
When you use AI features (for example, AI Video), SongMint may process images that contain facial information. We handle face data as follows:
- Collection: We collect images you upload that may contain your face or the face of others, solely to provide the AI feature you requested.
- Use: Face data is used exclusively to perform requested feature processing. We do not use face data for biometric identification, facial recognition, profiling, or advertising targeting.
- Disclosure and sharing: We do not sell face data. We do not share or disclose face data to third-party AI providers.
- Storage: When storage is needed to complete processing, face data (as part of uploaded images) is stored only within SongMint-controlled infrastructure.
- Retention: Server-side face data is automatically deleted within 7 days after processing completion, unless a longer period is legally required. You may request deletion at any time; we process valid deletion requests within 30 days.
Face data collection, use, disclosure, sharing, and retention are described in this section and in Section 8 (Data Sharing and Third Parties), Section 9 (Data Retention and Deletion), and Section 11 (Your Rights and Choices).
6. Permissions and Tracking
6.1 App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
Where required, we request tracking authorization via Apple's ATT framework. If you deny authorization, tracking-related capabilities that require ATT consent are not enabled.
6.2 Microphone
Microphone permission is requested only when you choose to record audio in the Reverse feature.
6.3 Photos
Photos permission is used when you select photos for AI video generation and when you choose to save generated media to your Photos library (including add-only permission flows where applicable).
6.4 Data Minimization
The current app version does not require contacts or precise location permissions for core functionality.
6.5 Camera
The current app version does not request camera permission as a core requirement.
7. How We Use Information
- Provide and operate AI generation features requested by you
- Authenticate sessions and protect service integrity
- Process purchases, restore entitlements, and manage credits/subscriptions
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and misuse
- Analyze performance and improve reliability and user experience
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce applicable terms
8. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your content (including photos, images containing faces, prompts, and generation inputs) with third-party AI providers.
We may disclose data only as necessary to provide the Service:
- Cloud infrastructure/provider services (e.g., Supabase): authentication, API processing, media/task handling.
- Apple: in-app purchase and subscription processing through StoreKit and related verification flows.
- Analytics/attribution providers (e.g., Meta/Facebook SDK): app events (such as app activation and subscription conversion signals) and attribution, subject to ATT where applicable.
- Legal and safety purposes: when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, users, or platform security.
We require service providers to protect data with safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
9.1 General retention
We retain data only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
9.2 Face data retention
For server-side processing of images that may contain faces, data is automatically deleted within 7 days after processing completion, unless a longer retention period is required by applicable law.
9.3 Deletion requests
You may request deletion of applicable personal data at any time via [email protected]. We process valid deletion requests within 30 days.
To help us locate your data accurately, include your in-app User ID when available.
9.4 Local device data
Temporary local files and cache on your device may be removed by the app, by iOS, or when you uninstall the app.
Temporary processing files are typically stored in the app sandbox temporary directory and are not intended for long-term retention.
10. Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
11. Your Rights and Choices
- Manage app permissions (tracking, microphone, photos) in iOS Settings.
- Request access, correction, or deletion of applicable personal data.
- Withdraw consent for optional processing where consent is the legal basis.
We may request reasonable verification before completing privacy requests.
12. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or a higher age if required by local law). If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate action.
13. International Processing
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. We apply safeguards consistent with applicable law.
14. Third-Party Content and Websites
The app may allow use of third-party content sources (for example, user-pasted external media links). Third-party services operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
14.1 YouTube Content Links
SongMint allows you to submit third-party media links (including YouTube URLs) to generate requested features. We process the URL and related technical metadata only to provide the feature you request. We do not collect your YouTube account password.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights and permissions to use any linked content. Your use of YouTube content is also subject to YouTube's own Terms and Privacy Policy. SongMint is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material updates will be reflected by changing the "Last Updated" date and publishing the updated policy.
